Dear Friend,

On behalf of Making Opportunities Matter Society (M.O.M.S.), we invite you to invest in the potential of our community’s youth by becoming a M.O.M.S. supporter. M.O.M.S. is a non-profit society that helps support a pre-professional dance company named True Colours Youth Company of Performing Arts.

In 2006, in response to what she saw as a significant gap in the creative development needs of gifted young dancers within our community, Tamara Ryan created True Colours. True Colours is committed to the development, experience and exposure of dancers to the professional world of the performing arts.

Our participants receive training in various genres of dance and theatre from a diverse group of professionals from across Canada. True Colours is a strong representation of our community’s talent, commitment and accomplishments in the performing arts. Quite frankly, without the experiences offered through True Colours, our local dancers would need to leave their community to continue their dance careers.

Last May, the work of True Colours culminated in a spectacular show titled “A Lot Like Me.” This year, we are very excited to welcome Livea Gill as Artistic Director. Ms. Gill will work with True Colours’ pre-professional dancers to showcase their work at our upcoming show titled “Freedom” at the Sid Williams Theatre on May 25, 2008.

As a non-profit society, we require financial assistance to operate. You can help make the dreams of our youth that much closer to a reality by investing in M.O.M.S. We offer various levels of annual sponsorship to help us support initiatives like True Colours. Sponsorship benefits include thank you acknowledgement, name recognition, and advertising space in promotional materials, ads, and programs. Complimentary tickets to performances may also be available to our sponsors.

We welcome your comments or questions regarding our request and we look forward to forming a mutually beneficial partnership.

Thank you in advance for your support and commitment to our community’s youth.

Sincerely,

M.O.M.S
